The Uppåkra Model
The Uppåkra Model promotes joyful and life-long learning by stimulating curiosity in children and by letting them participate and to make a genuine difference. The model has been developed through a research project in cooperation with researchers from Malmö University, teachers, pupils, as well as the children’s book author Martin Widmark.

How do we create the conditions joyful and life-long learning? The key is curiosity.
How do we evoke curiosity? By working with the different senses – so that children can participate and make a difference – for real!
Emerging from a research project in pedagogy – in cooperation with children’s book author Martin Widmark (known for among other works LasseMajas Detective Bureau, Halvdan Viking, and Nelly Rapp), researchers from Malmö University, pupils and teachers from Gulåkra School and Uppåkra School in Staffantorp municipality – we at the Uppåkra Archeological Center Foundation proudly present the Uppåkra Model!
