The Uppåkra Archaeological Centre is located at the center of the historical settlement at Uppåkra and it is a non-profit foundation founded in 2009 by Region Skåne, Lund Municipality, Staffanstorp Municipality, Lund Diocese, Staffanstorp House and Uppåkra Parish.

According to the founding document, the foundation aims to promote archaeological, cultural history, museum and cultural activities connected to the prehistoric and historical settlements at Uppåkra. The foundations activities are to be conducted in the interests of both the public and scientific research.

The foundation shall promote increased knowledge of the ancient remains and an understanding of the value of these, also in an international perspective.
