FAQ
Here we answer the most common questions that our visitors have. If you do not find an answer to your question, please contact us at bokning@uppakra.se.
May I visit the site on my own?
Of course! We have footpaths that are open to the public all year round, even if Uppåkra is best experienced via a guided tour led by one of our experienced archeologists. If visiting in a large group, please inform the Uppåkra Foundation in advance, and if coming by bus please always notify beforehand.
How do I book a tour?
All of our tours are booked online in our booking system. You can find the different tours available here.
When do tours take place?
Our tours depart at different times depending on the season. More information and exact times can be found under each individual tour. Our current tours are found here.
Where do the tours begin?
Tours begin at places designated on the map; se the map here. Still uncertain as to where a tour starts? Go to the information stand.
How do I scan my ticket?
Tickets are scanned by the guiding archaeologist before the tour begins. You will find the tickets attached to the mail confirming your booking.
May I bring my dog?
Yes! Dogs are very welcome as long as they are on a leash. Unfortunately they may not be brought into the tent of the tour of the Hall on the Hill. Assistance dogs and guide dogs are of course also welcome at the Hall on the Hill.
